2.2.2 Patch-11: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Fixed a problem where the splash screen appears on wrong screen when the secondary screen is to the left of the primary screen
  • Fixed a bug where it was not possible to print to other than the default printer on Mac OS X 10.4.x and higher
  • Worked around a problem where poorly written system hacks like SaftLoader and 1Passwd would cause NeoOffice to crash at launch
  • Added support for importing images from scanners and cameras

  • Fixed a problem introduced in Patch-9 that caused Calc windows to be hidden after inserting a new chart

  • Fixed a problem where the Cardo font would not display correctly in Hebrew and English
  • Fixed a problem where MS PowerPoint images were not accurately rendered
  • Fixed conflicting information about the non-breaking-space menu shortcut
  • Fixed a problem where Patch-8 changed Hebrew and Arabic digits into characters
  • Fixed an issue where logo image no longer printed correctly
  • Fixed an issue where users on Mac OS X 10.3.9 were unable to print on a non-default printer

2.2.2 Patch-8: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Fixed a problem that prevented printing more than one copy of a document
  • Fixed a bug that prevented setting the path for "My Documents" in Preferences
  • Fixed a problem that prevented printing to non-default printers

2.2.2 Patch-7: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Fixed several bugs related to line spacing and ligatures:
    • Fixed a problem where Arabic medial characters rendered as final characters when color was changed
    • Fixed incorrect pagination due to line-spacing differences between Office 2004 and NeoOffice
  • Fixed a series of bugs where some print dialog settings were not respected when printing
  • Fixed a bug where Impress would not export the slide background
  • Fixed a bug that caused Impress to crash when adding pictures
  • Fixed a crash when importing PNG file
  • Fixed a crash when adding hyperlink on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard

  • Reverted recent changes to Asian text input and layout because many users find them difficult to work with.

2.2.2 Patch-5: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • It is now possible to type multi-byte punctuation marks (e.g., in Japanese)
  • Improve support for export to MS Word of Table of Contents and other items that use "list separators"
  • Fixed a crash when selecting the Mac OS X Address Book as a data source
  • Fixed a problem in the OpenOffice.org Base security fix that prevented correct opening of .odb files on Mac OS X 10.3.9
  • Fixed several kerning issues when using "Export to PDF"

  • It is now possible to type multi-byte spaces (e.g., in Japanese)

  • Selecting with numbers while using Simplified Chinese input method editor no longer hangs NeoOffice
  • Fixed a bug where the shortcut for non-breaking hyphen did not work with German keyboards
  • Fixed a problem where it was not possible to set printer scaling using the Page Setup dialog
  • Fixed a problem when printing HTML source
  • Fixed an issue that prevented printing after the initial print command on 10.3.9
  • Fixed an issue where Arabic glyphs would not render when using an OpenType font on 10.5.x
  • Fixed an issue where non-printing characters would appear in certain fonts
  • Fixed a problem causing the wrong space between symbols
  • Fixed a problem with incorrect layout of punctuation marks in Japanese text with Western fonts
  • New file popup menu no longer displayed on the wrong monitor in certain multiple monitor setups

  • Fixed an issue that caused NeoOffice documents not to preview in Leopard Finder's Cover Flow
  • Fixed a problem with NeoOffice freezing on startup
  • Fixed an issue where Export would create corrupt PNG files
  • Fixed a bug where it was not possible to print embedded EPS files in Writer
  • Fixed an issue where the Javascript (Rhino) debugger did not start
  • Fixed a problem on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard where quit and relaunch is required to display some math symbols after a reboot
  • Fixed a crash after clicking the Promote One Level button in Writer
  • Fixed a problem where documents minimized to the Dock could not be restored

If you have not downloaded a release of NeoOffice since version 2.2.1, there are dozens of new features in NeoOffice 2.2.2. Some of the most significant include:

  • Faster text layout, kerning, and drawing
  • More compact print output
  • Faster, less CPU-intensive drawing of Aqua controls
  • Support for reading data from the Thunderbird Address Book
