Patches for NeoOffice 2.1 Early Access

2.1 Early Access Patch-2: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Fixed a further case of slow typing due to recent Apple Java changes
  • Fixed an additional issue related to printing documents with multiple orientations
  • Fixed an issue where some cell borders would disappear when printing to PDF

2.1 Early Access Patch-1: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Fixed 20 bugs, including:
    • Fixed an issue where text in "export to PDF" wouldn't display in Acrobat or Reader
    • Worked around an Apple bug that caused NeoOffice to use a large amount of CPU when in the background or when all documents were closed
    • Fixed issues related to printing documents with multiple orientations
  • Documents opened by NeoOffice now appear in the system-wide "Recent Items" menu in the Apple menu
  • Toolbar buttons now have the Aqua "beveled button" appearance

New Features in NeoOffice 2.1

If you have not downloaded a release of NeoOffice since version 1.2.2, there are dozens of new features in NeoOffice 2.0 Aqua Beta. Some of the most significant include:

  • Support for Java 1.5 on Mac OS X 10.4
  • New database component
  • Enhanced sound support
  • Runs on Intel Macintoshes
  • Native Cocoa Open and Save dialogues
  • Most widgets (scrollbars, buttons, checkboxes) are now Aqua
  • New Finder icons and splash screen with a more Aqua appearance
  • The new Akua set of toolbar icons with a more Aqua appearance
  • Enhanced support for Mac OS X themes, such as those offered by ShapeShifter
