Current Version
The latest version of NeoOffice is: 3.4.1.
NeoOffice 3.4.1 requires an Intel Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.6.8 through Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite. Some Aqua features will appear differently depending on your version of Mac OS X.

Patches
If you want to receive announcements whenever a patch or new release of NeoOffice is available, there are several options available:
- NeoOffice has built-in update checking, which by default checks for updates once a week.
- Twitter users can also follow NeoOffice on Twitter for patch and release announcements.
Current Patch
3.4.1 Patch-17 is now available. The new changes included in this patch are listed below:
- NeoOffice no longer pauses after several swipes. NeoOffice's swipe event handling code would sometimes pause for a moment if the user swiped several times in a row.
- Swiping or moving the scroll wheel very slowly will now move only a single line or row at a time. Before, NeoOffice would randomly jump 2 or 3 lines when swiping or moving the scroll wheel very slowly.
- When swiping or moving the scroll wheel rapidly, the page or row number tooltip no longer flickers rapidly. The flickering tooltip was caused by NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice code closing and reopening the tooltip after each swipe or scrolling event.
Note: 3.4.1 Patch-17 requires a full installation of NeoOffice 3.4.1 and will not install on any version of NeoOffice 3.3 or NeoOffice 3.4.1 Beta. Patch-17 includes all fixes and additions of previous patches.
Older Patches
3.4.1 Patch-14: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:
- When running on OS X Yosemite, NeoOffice would sometimes draw Arabic characters on top of each other.
- One of the bug fixes that we added in NeoOffice 2014.6 would cause NeoOffice to sometimes scroll slower than normal.
- NeoOffice would crash when entering data into dBase database tables that have a unique index.
3.4.1 Patch-13: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:
- NeoOffice would sometimes crash when quitting.
- When saving .ods files that were originally created in OpenOffice or LibreOffice, NeoOffice would require the user to reset the password for each protected sheet.
- When clicking on cells in .ods files that were originally created in LibreOffice, NeoOffice would fail to select any cells in protected sheets.
- NeoOffice would draw punctuation characters in Japanese vertical text in the wrong position and with horizontal font glyphs.
- When querying for null values in spreadsheet data sources, empty cells would be treated as if they were not null.
- When sending a mail merge to a file instead of to the printer, NeoOffice would fail to create the mail merge file.
3.4.1 Patch-12: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:
- When running NeoOffice on OS X Yosemite and exporting a document to PDF, all text in the document that uses a Type 1 font would not be displayed in the exported PDF.
- When running the Mac App Store version of NeoOffice and documents are kept open for more than a day, OS X would sometimes delete NeoOffice's temporary files. This would cause saving any open documents to fail until NeoOffice was relaunched.
3.4.1 Patch-11: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:
- Added support for OS X's speak selected text feature
- When editing a table in a Base database on Mac OS X 10.10 “Yosemiteâ€, NeoOffice 3.4.1 no longer occasionally hangs.
- When using a right-to-left (RTL) language such as Hebrew or Arabic, text is no longer drawn on top of the drop down button in comboboxes and popup buttons on Mac OS X 10.10 “Yosemiteâ€.
- When opening a new document while in full screen mode, the new document window no longer displays as a normal window instead of a full screen window.
- After closing a full screen document window, NeoOffice no longer makes all visible windows hidden.
- When in a Calc document, merged cells can now be selected using the Shift and arrow keys.
- When in a Calc document, editing a cell that has been scrolled off the edge of the document window no longer causes the cell's formula to be drawn in the wrong position.
- When in a Calc document, the NeoOffice :: Services menu no longer uses text from the last selected combobox instead of the currently selected cell.
- When in a Writer document, the NeoOffice :: Services menu no longer uses the last selected text even after unselecting all text.
3.4.1 Patch-10: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:
- When editing a table in a Base database on Mac OS X 10.10 “Yosemiteâ€, NeoOffice 3.4.1 no longer occasionally hangs.

- Added support for the new iCloud Drive feature in Mac OS X 10.10 “Yosemiteâ€.
- Fixed an issue where NeoOffice would randomly crash when checking if a document has been moved or renamed.
- Fixed a problem where NeoOffice would only display the first image in many .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx documents.
3.4.1 Patch-7: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:
- Improved compatibility with Mac OS X 10.10 “Yosemite†Beta:
- NeoOffice no longer opens a warning page in your web browser upon launch when running on OS X Yosemite.
- NeoOffice now uses the correct text and background colors for buttons, checkboxes, radio buttons, and popup menus when running on OS X Yosemite.
- Improved rendering of Calibri and Cambria fonts in Microsoft Office documents when Calibri and Cambria fonts are not installed.
- Changed the order of document types in “Save As†dialogues to group Microsoft Office 2008/2011 document types with other Microsoft Office document types.
3.4.1 Patch-6: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:
- NeoOffice will now automatically check for grammar errors in Writer documents using the Mac OS X grammar checker when spellchecking, and users no longer need to install an OpenOffice grammar checking extension. An overview of this new feature is available in this NeoWiki article.

- Saving a document is no longer several times slower than normal when saving immediately after trying to quit NeoOffice.

3.4.1 Patch-1: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:
- Fixed a bug that could cause scrolling to be slow when swiping on the trackpad.
- Fixed the following potential crashes or hangs:
- NeoOffice would occasionally hang when dragging an image within a particular Writer document.
- NeoOffice would crash when pressing an arrow key in an empty field in Base's query design.
- NeoOffice would crash when opening a particular Writer file with comments.
- NeoOffice would crash when opening a particular .svg image file with gradients.
- Fixed a problem where NeoOffice would create two duplicate versions instead of one version in the Mac OS X Versions browser each time a document was saved.
- Fixed a bug where NeoOffice would display an uncloseable window if the document window was closed while in the Mac OS X Versions browser.
- Fixed an issue where NeoOffice would sometimes display a blank popover window when clicking on the downward arrow icon next to the document name in a document window's titlebar while running on Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
NeoOffice 3.4.1 includes all of the fixes previously available in NeoOffice 3.4 but requires a new, full download.
Below is a list of the bugs in NeoOffice 3.4 that we fixed in NeoOffice 3.4.1:
- Opening certain .docx and .pptx documents could cause NeoOffice to crash.
- Changing any NeoOffice Writer Print Settings in the Options dialog would disable printing of word processing documents.
- Zooming using the trackpad would cause the current document to zoom in and out too rapidly.
