Hi!

Can you see the work? RoyFocker

Looks like you are making very good progress! I'd like to see the Troubleshooting Tips, NeoOffice Installation Issues, NeoOffice and Aqua, and the table of contents for Tips and Hints (NeoOffice Tips and Hints translated before we list the Spanish wiki on the Main Page. —sardisson 05:57, 6 January 2007 (GMT)
THANK YOU!!! I will work on that (sigh: I am using the italian text... je, je, je...). Tell me about the mistakes and problems that I do... --RoyFocker 09:30, 6 January 2007 (GMT)
I finish all works that you ask! The spanish version can begin to live!!! --RoyFocker 14:13, 8 January 2007 (GMT)

I'd like to know if you think that this link could be added somewhere. I think their approach to learning OOo capabilities are good for beginners, but I don't understand their licence policy... Valter

I think we can link to them without any worry. We should probably include the links on the NeoOffice Support page (and links to specific tutorials on specific pages, where relevant). —sardisson 00:44, 18 January 2007 (GMT)

forgotten botlangbar

Sorry, I forgot to add the Es version in NeoOffice and Aqua/botlangbar… Jacqueline

It's a protected page, so you couldn't have added it anyway ;) —sardisson 23:25, 19 January 2007 (GMT)

translation of French pages

Valter has had a good idea in translating his new pages in English. If it can help you, I translated (in "my" English) the page : "Defining Formula Fonts in NeoOffice". You can find it here User:Jgd/Translations. I know that Lorinda like to translate French into English, but she has already a lot of work with the Table of contents. Please, tell me if it's useful, and I'll translate other pages as far as I'll have time.

Jacqueline

If you feel comfortable doing so (and have time), please do ;) It's a lot easier/faster (for me, at least) to polish an existing translation than to do the translation, and others who don't speak French could also help polish the text on a page that's been translated. Thanks again for all your work! —sardisson 20:10, 2 February 2007 (GMT)

You can find a translated page here

I go on when I find time. Good exercice for me :-) Jacqueline

French Main Page

The Main Page located at http://download.neooffice.org/neojava/fr/download.php is not fully translated in French. And the French text needs some "polish". I can help, but I don't know how to do that. I can put a correct text on my Talk page in this wiki, for example. Or what else ?

Jacqueline

The French translation of planamesa.com/download.neooffice.org are/were done by Max Barel, who was offline for some time and seemed not to return after he found out about the Early Access Program :( Since Patrick controls those pages, you can simply send Patrick new/corrected text and he can update the pages. —sardisson 19:11, 18 February 2007 (GMT)

Thanks Smokey. I'll prepare a text and send it Patrick.

Jacqueline 20:27, 18 Feb 2007 (GMT)

FWIW, Max Barel isn't working on the NeoOffice website anymore. The latest updates to these pages are from me. Since the files are in HTML it is easier for Patrick if we edit them directly and send them to him (that's what I've been doing). Besides, I haven't stopped translating the website; I'll start working on it again when I have more time (if all goes well it means this weekend - and all should go well). Jacqueline, if you also intend to work on the NeoOffice website it might be better if we coordinate our efforts directly, rather than through Patrick or Smokey's talk page :-)

keyboard shortcut

Smokey, I've seen the correction you've done at the page NeoOffice_Menu_and_Keyboard_Shortcuts
I have to say that in both my machine (Intel iMac and PPC iBook) ⌘-Left/Right Arrow doesn't work as they move the cursor one word left or one word right. Instead, with the iMac I have an Apple Wireless Keyboard and to go at the end of a line I have to press ↘ key that correspond to "end" key on iBook keyboard (and you get the "end" key pressing "fn" with Right Arrow, so without cmd-key); the same, I have to press ↖ key to go at the beginning of a line, that correspond to "home" key ("fn" + Left Arrow) on iBook keyboard.
Tjfarley has written to use ⌘-end and ⌘-home to go at the end or at the beginning of a line, but with both my keyboards this means go at the end or at the beginning of a document!
Valter

Hmm. On my PowerBook, once I remap the keys as that section describes, ⌘-Left/Right Arrow move the cursor to the beginning/end of line. The default NeoOffice behavior (i.e., what happens if you don't use those steps) for ⌘-Left/Right Arrow is word-by-word, but the section I changed was about making ⌘-Left/Right Arrow behave in Neo like they do in other Mac apps.
Are you saying that once you remap the keys as that section describes, they still don't work? —sardisson 07:28, 24 February 2007 (GMT)
No, I haven't remapped my keyboard, what I describe is the behaviour of "native" keyboard. For a person that comes from other OS (Linux in my case) the use of "home"/"end" is more natural, but I agree that Mac applications doesn't work like this (infact surprisingly even if I have "home"/"end" keys on my Apple Keyboard, none Apple applications use them!).
Valter
P.S. how can I insert my username and "timestamp" at the end of this insertion?
The next to last button in the button bar above this box, or four ~ characters (~~~~) —sardisson 18:40, 24 February 2007 (GMT)
I see. Thank you --valterb 20:29, 24 February 2007 (GMT)

Press kit blocked

I don't know why is blocked... It's easier to me to cut the text on "edit" and paste on NO to translate ('cause all the "links" remain). Is possible to un-block? thanks! --RoyFocker 10:48, 27 March 2007 (BST) No problem! I finish the translation! Thanks! --RoyFocker 12:00, 27 March 2007 (BST)

You should still be able to click "edit" and see the page source to copy/paste when the page is locked. I'm puzzled. —sardisson 15:00, 27 March 2007 (BST)

Translation of the md5sums message

Thank you very much for the "not mangled" but fine translation :D Jgd 08:24, 8 November 2007 (CST)
