Draft Text [en]

Planamesa Software and NeoOffice.org are proud to announce NeoOffice®/J 1.1, a Mac OS X-native version of the OpenOffice.org office suite. NeoOffice®/J includes fully-featured word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and drawing programs which are compatible with Microsoft™ Office. This release is based on the latest stable OpenOffice.org codebase but does not require X11 software in order to run, and this version also includes Mac OS X integration such as the native Aqua menubar, drag-and-drop, complete clipboard support, and more. NeoOffice®/J supports localized user interfaces in 40 languages and supports text entry in Roman and non-Roman scripts, including South Asian, East Asian, right-to-left and complex text layout scripts.

NeoOffice®/J is open source and free software released under the GNU General Public License. "Aquafication" of the application is ongoing, and any interested parties are welcome to help with all aspects of the project.
