Planamesa Software and NeoOffice.org are pleased to announce the release of NeoOffice®/J 1.1, a Mac OS X-native version of the
OpenOffice.org office suite that includes Microsoftâ„¢ Office-compatable word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and drawing
applications.

Based on the latest stable OpenOffice.org codebase, NeoOffice®/J 1.1 features Mac OS X-specific integration including a Mac installer, a 
native Aqua menu bar, native printing, full clipboard support, drag-and-drop, Mac-like key shortcuts, mouse scrolling, Mac font support,
and much, much more!

NeoOffice®/J 1.1 is a standalone, double-clickable Mac application and does NOT require additional X11 software.  It is able to import
Wordperfect documents and can export to many formats including PDF and HTML.  Moreover, NeoOffice®/J supports localized user interfaces in
FORTY languages as well as text entry in Roman and non-Roman scripts including South Asian, East Asian, right-to-left and complex text
layout scripts.

Released as free, open source software under the GNU General Public License, NeoOffice®/J 1.1 is available now.  "Aquafication" of 
the application is ongoing, and interested parties are invited to help with all aspects of the project.

Oscar also thinks we need some more detailed app features included in the announcement; I'd prefer to do this in a third-plus paragraph(s) :-) Oscar, how do you get this into a box...it's starting to get a mess....)

Or isn't that clear enough? Neo/J is *not* OOo, so it doesn't have to say what its not doing... [Haven't edited, just asking.] :)

Planamesa Software og NeoOffice.org er stolte av å presentere NeoOffice®/J 1.1, en ekte (eller «native») Mac OS X-utgave av kontorprogrammet OpenOffice.org. NeoOffice®/J består av komplette programmer for tekstbehandling, regneark, presentasjoner og tegning som er kompatible med Microsoft™ Office. Programmene er basert på den siste, stabile, versjonen av kildekoden til OpenOffice.org, og trenger ikke programvaren X11 i tillegg. Denne versjonen har integrasjon med Mac OS X med bl.a. ekte Aqua-menyer, dra-og-slipp, full støtte for utklippsbok, m.m. Programmet støtter lokale brukergrensesnitt med 40 språk og tekst skrevet i med romerske og ikke-romerske alfabeter, inkludert sør- og østasiatiske, tekst fra høyre og dokumenter med sammensatt utforming.

NeoOffice®/J er en programvare basert på åpen kildekode og er gratis. Den lanseres med GNU General Public License. «Aquafisering» eller tilpasning til Aqua-grensesnittet pågår for fullt, og alle som er interesserte er velkommen til å hjelpe til med alle aspektene ved prosjektet.

Planamesa Software en NeoOffice.org kondigen met gepaste trots NeoOffice®/J 1.1 aan, een volledige ingeburgerde Mac OS X versie van het OpenOffice.org office pakket. NeoOffice®/J bevat een complete en uitgebreide tekstverwerker, reken-, presentatie- en tekenprogramma die Microsoft™ Office bestanden begrijpen en kunnen maken. Deze uitgave is gebaseerd op de meest recente stabiele versie van OpenOffice.org maar heeft geen X11 software nodig. Deze eerste uitgave bevat ook integratie met Mac OS X zoals een Aqua menubalk, slepen van tekst en beeld, complete ondersteuning voor het klembord en meer. NeoOffice®/J ondersteunt gelocalizeerde gebruikersomgevingen in 40 talen en ondersteunt textinvoer in Romeinse en niet-Romeinse tekens, inclusief Zuid-Aziatische, Oost-Aziatisch, recht-naar-links en complexe textopmaak.
