What I think I'd like are coloured tables like the front of wikipedia where NeoOffice and NeoLight are side by side, and OO.oX11 is at the bottom (though in a position less like a step-child)

well, now i have them =D except i don't have enough content to make the neolight part look right... =\ maybe move neooffice to the top and make neolight and oo.ox11 sit next to each other? or shorten neooffice description? lengthen the neolight one? where is smokey when i need him????

let me think about this. somewhere in my addled brain i know how to get this to work. you could always embed the two yellowcolumn templates inside another table with tr valign="top", but i'm sure there's a cleaner way. we also should find (or make) some transparent gulls.

Help:Table is my hero! (hmm, do we have a shorthand for linking to meta?)

The other thing that looks funny is the description stuff. it's one line in the middle of the images and then a bunch of stuff wrapping below the image. we might need to tweak the layout/arrangement yet.
