These are the Release Notes for NeoOffice 3.3 Beta 2, currently available through the NeoOffice Early Access Program (or via a personal build from the source). Release Notes for NeoOffice 2.2.5, the current freely-available version, can be found here.

Current Early Access Version
The latest Early Access version of NeoOffice is: 3.0.
NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access 2 requires a PPC or Intel Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.4.11 or higher. Some Aqua features will appear differently depending on your version of Mac OS X.
Patches
If you want to receive announcements whenever a patch or new release of NeoOffice is available, there are several options available:
- NeoOffice has built-in update checking, which by default checks for updates once a week.
- Trinity users can sign up for email notifications on this topic, which is updated for each release or patch.
- If you prefer feeds to email, there is now an RSS feed for patch announcements.
Current Patch
Patch-1 is now available.
The new changes included in this patch are listed below:
- Fixed a bug that caused the warning dialog not to appear when quitting while a document is minimized
- Fixed a crash when the Help window is displayed from Find and Replace dialog
- Fixed a crash that could occur when pasting a table copied from Microsoft Word
- Fixed a problem with IF/COUNTIF formulas in Calc
- Fixed a bug that caused .docx files to be saved as .odt files
- Fixed an issue where the Page Zoom indicator could be partially obscured by window resize widget
- Fixed a bug where tables would be corrupted when saving as .doc file
- Fixed a problem where file system ACLs were ignored
- Removed an invalid entry in NeoOffice's Info.plist file
- Fixed a bug where displaying the Printer Settings dialog would break brochure printing
- Fixed a bug that caused the grammar checker to fail on some files when invoked using the "Entire Document" menu item
Note: Patch-1 requires a full installation of NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access or NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access 2 and will not install on any version of NeoOffice 2.x. Patch-1 includes all fixes and additions of previous patches.
Older Patches
3.0 Early Access 2 Patch-0: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:
- Restored missing English and French thesaurus files
- Fixed a bug that caused font preview not to work
- Fixed a problem where the "copy and insert" key combination did not work in Calc
- Fixed a bug where the patch installer would follow infinite softlink loops
- Fixed a problem where form controls within documents would flicker neurotically in Calc and Writer
- Fixed a conflict between NeoOffice and Typinator
- Fixed a bug where gridlines would not appear on colored backgrounds
- Fixed a bug that prevented Thunderbird’s address book from being chosen as a data source
- Fixed a bug where automatic update check would cause NeoOffice to hang
- Re-enabled Opt-arrow keys for pixel movement in Draw
- Reverted OpenOffice.org changes that caused selection color in Calc to be too light to see clearly
- Added an option to turn off support for Mac OS X Services
New Features in NeoOffice 3.0
If you have not downloaded a release of NeoOffice since version 2.2.5, there are dozens of new features in NeoOffice 3.0. Some of the most significant include:
- Based on OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 codebase

- Improved presentation tools
- Requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or higher
- Improved performance
- Support for the Mac OS X Services menu within NeoOffice (read-only)
