Current Version

The latest version of NeoOffice is: 2.2.2.

NeoOffice 2.2.2 requires a PPC Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.3.9 or 10.4.10 or an Intel Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.4.10. Some Aqua features will appear differently depending on your version of Mac OS X.

You can find the MD5SUMs for current NeoOffice downloads (main binary, language packs, and patches) on the NeoOffice MD5 Checksums page.

If you want to receive announcements whenever a patch or new release of NeoOffice is available, subscribe to the NeoJUpdate mailing list. To subscribe to the NeoJUpdate mailing list, send an e-mail to neojupdate-subscribe@heapsys.com.

Current Patch

2.2.2 Patch-17 is now available. (NeoOffice 2.2.2 already includes the fixes contained in Patch-0)

The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Worked around a bug in the Apple Installer that would delete parts of NeoOffice when installing patches on Mac OS X 10.5
  • Added support for reading data from the Thunderbird Address Book
  • Fixes for many printing-related bugs
  • Fixed a dozen other bugs reported against NeoOffice 2.2.1 with Patch-1

Note: 2.2.2 Patch-17 requires a full installation of NeoOffice 2.2.1 and will not install on any version of NeoOffice 2.1 or NeoOffice 2.2.1 Early Access. Patch-17 includes all fixes and additions of previous patches.

Older Patches

NeoOffice 2.2.2 includes all of the fixes previously available in NeoOffice 2.2.1 with Patch-1.

New Features in NeoOffice 2.2.2

If you have not downloaded a release of NeoOffice since version 2.2.1, there are dozens of new features in NeoOffice 2.2.2. Some of the most significant include:

  • Faster text layout, kerning, and drawing
  • More compact print output
  • Faster, less CPU-intensive drawing of Aqua controls
  • Support for reading data from the Thunderbird Address Book
