Well, we're late to the ballgame on this one, so feel free to use this condensed-and-updated version of the 1.1 announcement for PR purposes.
NeoOffice® 1.2 Released
Planamesa Software and the NeoOffice.org community are proud to announce NeoOffice® 1.2, the second release of our Mac OS X-native version of the OpenOffice.org office suite that includes Microsoft Office-compatible word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and drawing applications.
NeoOffice® 1.2 offers enhanced printing, font, and international input support as well as significantly improved performance over NeoOffice®/J 1.1. This release also incorporates support for many accessibility APIs, including those used by common voice dictation software. NeoOffice® 1.2 is based on the stable OpenOffice.org 1.1.5 codebase and includes support for reading files based on the new OpenDocument (ODF) standard.
Like the previous version, NeoOffice® 1.2 also offers extensive integration with Mac OS X, incorporating many enhancements not available in OpenOffice.org releases. Key Macintosh features include a standard Mac OS X installer, a native Aqua menu bar, use of the Mac OS X printing system, full clipboard support, drag-and-drop, Mac "command" key shortcuts, mouse scrolling, native support for Mac fonts, and, via the built-in NeoLight plugin, support for Spotlight on Mac OS X 10.4.
NeoOffice® 1.2 is available today as a free download from the Planamesa Software website at http://www.planamesa.com/neojava/. NeoOffice® 1.2 is compatible with PowerPC-based Macintoshes running Mac OS X 10.3 and later (a version of NeoOffice that supports Intel-based Macintoshes is currently under development).
