What is RetroOffice?

RetroOfficeâ„¢ is a Macintosh version of OpenOffice.org that includes the ooo-build code used by most Linux distributions (rather than the stock OpenOffice.org code used by Sun Microsystems and OpenOffice.org Mac OS X (X11)).

RetroOffice is an X11 program and requires Mac OS X 10.3 or higher and Apple's X11 implementation (/Utilities/X11.app). RetroOffice is available for both PowerPC- and Intel-based Macintoshes.

Who should use RetroOffice?

Only users who are comfortable with UNIX and X11 should use RetroOffice. Most Mac users should use NeoOffice instead.
