Current Version

The latest version of NeoOffice is: 3.2.

NeoOffice 3.2 requires an Intel Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.5.8 or higher. Some Aqua features will appear differently depending on your version of Mac OS X.

(NeoOffice 3.1.2 is still available for users with PowerPC Macs running Mac OS X 10.4.11 or 10.5.8 or Intel Macs running 10.4.11.)

If you want to receive announcements whenever a patch or new release of NeoOffice is available, there are several options available:

  • NeoOffice has built-in update checking, which by default checks for updates once a week.

Current Patch

There is no patch available for NeoOffice 3.2.

Older Patches

NeoOffice 3.2 includes all of the code in NeoOffice 3.2 Beta with Patch-3 plus fixes for several bugs reported by our users after NeoOffice 3.2 Beta Patch-3 was released. Below is a list of the bugs in NeoOffice 3.2 Beta with Patch-3 that we fixed in NeoOffice 3.2:

  • Fixed a bug where NeoOffice no longer put temporary files within FileVault folder
  • Fixed a problem where Export to PDF causes stretched glyphs to be miskerned

New Features in NeoOffice 3.2

If you have not downloaded a release of NeoOffice since version 3.1.2, there are several new features in NeoOffice 3.2. Some of the most significant include:

  • Mac OS X 10.7 Lion compatibility; the following components were rewritten to ensure compatibility with Mac OS X 10.7:
    • Text layout and rendering
    • Copy and paste
    • Drag and drop
  • Expanded font support using CoreText (including support for Windows OpenType fonts for right-to-left and complex scripts)
  • Significant reduction in size of PDF files
