Patches for NeoOffice 3.2 Beta

3.2 Beta Patch-3: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Fixed a crash when removing or disabling a font in Font Book while NeoOffice is running
  • Printing large document with many images no longer uses excessive memory
  • Fixed a bug where accessing menubar while printing causes hanging
  • Fixed an issue where native comboboxes and listboxes do not paint properly on Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion”
  • Fixed a problem where the menubar does not update when changing active window on Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion”

3.2 Beta Patch-2: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Stopped a possible “snapping back” behavior when resizing a window by dragging the left edge on Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion”.
  • All non-floating windows with titlebars now have rounded bottom corners when running NeoOffice on Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion”.

3.2 Beta Patch-1: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Improved the first-run experience on Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion” Macs that do not have Java installed.
  • Prevented a hang on Mac OS X 10.6 when closing Image Capture’s dialog with the close button.
  • Fixed a hang when dragging the file proxy icon in the titlebar to the same or another NeoOffice window.
  • Fixed a bug that had prevented dragging items from the Media Browser to NeoOffice documents.

NeoOffice 3.2 Beta Early Access includes all of the fixes previously available in NeoOffice 3.1.2 with Patch-5, but it requires a new, full download.

New Features in NeoOffice 3.2 Beta

If you have not downloaded a release of NeoOffice since version 3.1.2, there are several new features in NeoOffice 3.2 Beta. Some of the most significant include:

  • Mac OS X 10.7 Lion compatibility; the following components were rewritten to ensure compatibility with Mac OS X 10.7:
    • Text layout and rendering
    • Copy and paste
    • Drag and drop
  • Expanded font support using CoreText (including support for Windows OpenType fonts for right-to-left and complex scripts)
  • Significant reduction in size of PDF files
