Patches for NeoOffice 3.2

3.2 Patch-5: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Worked around a bug in Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion” scrollbar thumbs in long documents
  • Fixed a potential crash in window resizing

3.2 Patch-4: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Prevented appending an unwanted "/" character to filenames in Save dialogues in the latest Mac OS X 10.7 seed

3.2 Patch-3: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • When resizing a window, the entire window is no longer repainted white
  • Using the “Index” page style no longer creates a separate print job
  • Fixed the Quick Look generator to no longer ignore template files

3.2 Patch-2: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Prevented flickering in Open and Save dialogs on Mac OS X 10.7 Developer Preview 2
  • Improved responsiveness of the first click on the menu bar or first use of a keyboard shortcut

3.2 Patch-1: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Fixed a crash that could occur with older Java versions when clicking on the Mac OS X menubar or pressing certain Help buttons

NeoOffice 3.2 includes all of the code in NeoOffice 3.2 Beta with Patch-3 plus fixes for several bugs reported by our users after NeoOffice 3.2 Beta Patch-3 was released. Below is a list of the bugs in NeoOffice 3.2 Beta with Patch-3 that we fixed in NeoOffice 3.2:

  • Fixed a bug where NeoOffice no longer put temporary files within FileVault folder
  • Fixed a problem where Export to PDF causes stretched glyphs to be miskerned

New Features in NeoOffice 3.2

If you have not downloaded a release of NeoOffice since version 3.1.2, there are several new features in NeoOffice 3.2. Some of the most significant include:

  • Mac OS X 10.7 Lion compatibility; the following components were rewritten to ensure compatibility with Mac OS X 10.7:
    • Text layout and rendering
    • Copy and paste
    • Drag and drop
  • Expanded font support using CoreText (including support for Windows OpenType fonts for right-to-left and complex scripts)
  • Significant reduction in size of PDF files
