Current Legacy Version

The latest legacy version of NeoOffice for users of Mac OS X 10.3.9 is: 2.2.6.

NeoOffice 2.2.6 requires a PPC Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.3.9, 10.4.11, or 10.5.8, or an Intel Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.4.11, 10.5.8, or 10.6.1 (users of Mac OS X 10.4.11 or newer should upgrade to NeoOffice 3.0.1). Some Aqua features will appear differently depending on your version of Mac OS X.

Patches

If you want to receive announcements whenever a patch or new release of NeoOffice is available, there are several options available:

2.2.6 Patch-10 is now available.

The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Fixed a problem where the Apple Remote Control does not work on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
  • Fixed an issue where a bad hyperlink displays an error message on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
  • Fixed a problem where checkboxes does not show the mixed state ("dash") option

Note: 2.2.6 Patch-10 requires a full installation of NeoOffice 2.2.6 and will not install on any version of NeoOffice 2.2.5 or NeoOffice 2.2.6 Early Access. Patch-10 includes all fixes and additions of previous patches.

  • Fixed a possible crash opening a document when document uses a font that is corrupt

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when opening large spreadsheets that contained sorted ranges
  • Fixed a bug where NeoOffice menus become unresponsive when all windows are minimized
  • Fixed a problem where minimizing a document window that is displaying the native Mac OS X print dialog disables keyboard and mouse input

2.2.6 Patch-1: The new changes included in this patch are listed below:

  • Worked around a crash on Mac OS X 10.6.x caused by saving to AFP (AppleShare) volumes
  • Worked around an OpenOffice.org bug that prevented saving OpenDocument (.od*) files that have been open for several days
  • Fixed a bug where incorrect symbol fonts would appear in documents created with the Export as PDF function.
